Yea, basicaly, i have been thinking of writing about it within the larger activist scene, the same situation is……but surely that article describes a massive success story of anti fascism, not separated from the working class at all, working class people coming together to combat racism with widespread, enduring success and minimal violence.
But as you said, not remembered, same all round.
People would rather remember Luther K than Malcom X, the sufragets chaining themselves to things rather than firebombing campaigns, Ghandi than other more realistic activists.
Pacifism is a middle class ideology for idiots and people who want a future career in the labour party and the state and media promote these things, letting working class and sometimes ‘violent’ action be forgotten by history.

I saw this happen. It’s amazing how Celtic fans autonomously identified, confronted and stamped out racism at Parkhead, but we are never given credit for it. Probably because it wasn’t some bullshit liberal corporate and government sponsored ant-racist PR campaign.
